On Friday, 6 November, I had my first taste of what is fast becoming one of the most remarkable days in the Scottish business calendar — or, as Sir Tom Hunter described it, 'his favourite day of the year.' It didn’t take long to see why.

It’s been a busy few weeks for the Craft Prospect team, with two major international events taking place back-to-back — the International Astronautical Congress (IAC) 2025 in Sydney, Australia, and the 7th Quantum Technology Conference in Crete, Greece.

Craft Prospect Ltd and Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd (SSTL) have signed a new Teaming Agreement, formalising and expanding the close working relationship developed between our two companies over years of collaborating and working adjacently to one another within the space industry.

Glasgow-based space engineering practice Craft Prospect Ltd (CPL) has won a contract from the European Space Agency (ESA) to prototype and demonstrate machine learning algorithms for motion planning in orbital space missions.
