Craft Prospect was delighted to welcome visitors into our lab last weekend as part of Glasgow’s Doors Open Festival.

This annual city-wide event provides the public with the opportunity to explore some of Glasgow’s most interesting buildings and organisations. For us at Craft Prospect, it was a lot of fun to share not only our workspace but also our passion for innovation in the space sector.

Community outreach has always been important to the Craft Prospect team, and the Doors Open Festival offers a fantastic chance to engage with a wide range of audiences interested in the future of space technology.

As part of the event, we shared models of some of the advanced systems under development at Craft Prospect, gave an overview of the OPS-SAT VOLT mission, and allowed visitors a glimpse of our cutting-edge lab and clean room.

Among our visitors were many inquisitive engineering students, whose thoughtful questions and curiosity about our technology reinforced our passion for encouraging the next generation of space innovators. We also welcomed many families and amateur space buffs, who were keen to learn more about what goes into designing and developing the systems that support space missions.

The enthusiasm and engagement we experienced throughout the day reaffirm the value of opening our doors to the wider community. A huge thank you to everyone who came along – it was a pleasure to meet you all and to share our vision for #SmartSecureSpace.
