Welcome to the team, Luis José Salazar-Serrano and Paul Yarr!

Luis is our new Chief Engineer for Optics, and Paul is our new Chief Engineer for EEE.

🔭🌈 Luis is a physicist and electronics engineer with over 15 years of experience in research and development across academia and industry. His work has focused on optical payloads in space, including leading the development of a multispectral Earth Observation telescope and an optical communications terminal for inter-satellite communications. He specialises in optomechanical systems and has managed multidisciplinary projects and collaborated with suppliers, consultancy firms, and space agencies to deliver complex solutions. Passionate about open-source technologies and continuous learning, he enjoys sharing knowledge and collaborating with people globally. At Craft Prospect, his role as Chief Engineer for Optics centres on optomechanics, where he collaborates closely with subsystem leaders to drive the OPS-SAT VOLT mission toward a successful demonstration in space.

⚡💡 Paul has been part of the Scottish space industry for more than a decade, delivering space products and projects from 1U CubeSats up through 800+ kg spacecraft. He specialises in electronics and firmware development and has a broad understanding of the space sector, having performed systems-level design for several spacecraft platforms. He firmly believes that being hands-on with engineering tasks is a high priority to understand the inner workings of deliverables. In his role as Chief Engineer for EEE at Craft, he supports the team across electronics, firmware, software, and systems engineering disciplines to deliver all of Craft's technologies.

The Craft Crew is thrilled to have these guys on board!
