Next-generation space talent in action: Ty and Jeroen wrap up their placements

This week, Ty Fitzgerald and Jeroen Van Weelden are wrapping up their internships with Craft Prospect and our sister company Omanos Analytics as part of the UK Space Agency’s Skills for Space programme.

Earlier this week, they presented their internship projects to the team, and it was fantastic to hear more about what they’ve been each working on.

While at Craft, Jeroen developed a digital component tracking system, creating live records for parts covering location, handling requirements, flight ratings, and traceability, linked to a QR-coded setup in the lab. His work will help engineers select parts more effectively for flight design systems.

At Omanos, Ty worked on a ground-truthing AI improvement cycle concept for integration into the Omanos dashboard and mobile app, supporting practical R&D around data, AI, and user-facing systems.

We’ve loved having both of them with us this summer!
