Craft Prospect was delighted to once again take part in Glasgow’s Doors Open Festival, welcoming more than 200 visitors to our lab for a behind-the-scenes look at our work in the space sector over the course of two days.

Glasgow’s Doors Open Festival provides a unique opportunity for the public to learn about the organisations, buildings, and technologies that play a role in shaping the city.

For our team, it was a fantastic chance to connect with the local community from Govan and beyond. We welcomed aspiring engineers, amateur space enthusiasts, and even families with space-obsessed kids, all keen to learn more about the technologies helping to shape future space missions.

Throughout the weekend, visitors had the opportunity to tour our facilities, get hands-on with models of the tech being developed at Craft Prospect, and learn more about our OPS-SAT VOLT mission.

Members of our team were available to discuss the challenges and opportunities involved in designing advanced systems for space applications, providing a valuable insight into the world of space engineering.

The enthusiasm, thoughtful questions, and engaging conversations throughout the weekend were truly inspiring. In particular, it was encouraging to see so many young people interested in engineering, technology and space, reinforcing the importance of outreach activities like these that help connect future talent with the industry.

At Craft Prospect, we believe that sharing knowledge and engaging with our community is an important part of fostering innovation. Events such as the Doors Open Festival provide a valuable opportunity to open our doors, showcase our work, and inspire greater interest in the possibilities of space technology.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us over the weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting you, sharing our passion for space engineering, and discussing our vision for #SmartSecureSpace.
