Inspiring the next generation of space engineers at Glasgow Science Centre

On Thursday, 13th November, our Chief Engineer for Optics Luis José Salazar-Serrano spoke to S3 students from across Scotland as part of the ‘Space to Learn’ careers conference, hosted at the Glasgow Science Centre in partnership with the National Space Academy.

During a presentation filled with his trademark energy and enthusiasm, Luis shared insights into his own journey — from his earliest childhood hobbies and sources of inspiration to the education and career path that led him to where he is today. He also talked about what a day in optical engineering looks like and offered insight into what it takes to find success in STEM and the space sector.
