We welcomed Senior Lecturer at the University of Strathclyde Annalisa Riccardi to the office last week to give the Craft team a presentation on AI, space systems, and the challenges of building trust in high-stakes technical decisions.
Through the Aerospace Centre of Excellence at Strathclyde Uni, Annalisa is one of our collaborators on the ESA-funded ATLAS project, which explores how AI and large language models can support the validation of autonomous spacecraft software.

During her presentation, Annalisa shared insights from her extensive work across large language models, requirements verification, flight software validation, explainable AI, and Earth Observation, opening up a rich discussion on how these technologies can support more trusted space systems.
Our warmest thanks to Annalisa for an excellent session, for sharing her invaluable expertise with the Craft team, and for her ongoing collaboration on ATLAS! 🙏
