Maura Allen showcases our APT Testbench

The Craft Prospect team were given an in-depth overview of our Acquisition, Pointing & Tracking (APT) Testbench with a training session led by our Control Systems Engineer Maura Allan.

The session showcased the work that has gone into designing and building the testbench, whilst introducing colleagues to its key operating principles and capabilities.

Developed to demonstrate the performance of APT systems under challenging, representative flight conditions, the testbench provides a realistic environment for testing and validating system functionality. It also serves as a platform for future development, enabling continued optimisation and exploration of new capabilities.

The training sparked valuable discussions across the team, helping to gain a deeper understanding of the technology and the challenges associated with developing robust optical communication and tracking systems for space applications.
