(Glasgow, UK) Glasgow-based space engineering company Craft Prospect has been selected for inclusion in the inaugural edition of The Sunday Times Scotland Fast 50, a new annual list recognising some of Scotland’s fastest-growing private companies.
Supported by Cazenove Capital and S&W, The Sunday Times Scotland Fast 50 celebrates independently owned, Scotland-headquartered businesses achieving exceptional growth at scale and speed.
To be eligible, companies were required to have recorded sales of at least £2 million in their latest financial year, increased sales by an average of more than 20% a year across the last two financial years, and employ a minimum of five staff.
Craft Prospect’s inclusion in the inaugural list is a welcome recognition of the company’s growth, team, and engineer-led approach to delivering innovative space technologies and mission capability from Scotland.
Craft Prospect combines expertise in onboard autonomy, quantum and optical communications, Earth observation, mission operations, and advanced spacecraft systems. The employee-owned company is leading and supporting a portfolio of projects with commercial customers, academic institutions, and major space agencies, including the upcoming ESA-funded OPS-SAT VOLT mission.
Yvette Hopkins, Chair of the Craft Prospect Board, said:
“This recognition as one of The Sunday Times’ Fast 50 companies to watch is a proud moment for everyone at Craft Prospect. It reflects the exceptional vision, talent and commitment of our team, led by our CEO, Steve Greenland, and the confidence our customers and partners place in us.
As Chair, I see first-hand a business that is not only growing rapidly, but doing so with purpose. Craft Prospect is helping to solve some of the world's most complex engineering and technology challenges, while creating high-value jobs, developing outstanding people and contributing to Scotland's growing reputation as a leader in space and advanced technologies.
The Board is delighted to see the company's achievements recognised in this way. We remain ambitious about the future and are excited to support the next stage of Craft Prospect's growth and impact.”
Managing Director Steve Greenland added:
“We are proud to be selected for the inaugural edition of The Sunday Times Scotland Fast 50. This recognition reflects the incredible work of our team and the trust placed in us by our partners and customers as we continue to grow. It is also a strong endorsement of the innovation coming out of Scotland’s space sector, and of the ambitious, engineer-led businesses helping shape its future.”
